DOMESTIC MARKET Vegrad continued investment marketing growth in Slovenia in 2000. 373 bids were prepared for the domestic market, totalling SIT 107.9 billion; 42 bids (11.3% of those submitted) were successful. The percentage of successful bids rose last year, reflecting improved competitiveness in the domestic market. The planned marketing guidelines were achieved, fully occupying production capacity. Vegrad built the following large structures: motorway base – Dobava; an extension to Ljubno Primary School; expansion and renovation of Hotel Vesna Topol¹ica; Medvode Retirement Home; housing complex with covered car park on Kolarjeva Ulica in Ljubljana; the Mostec housing estate in Ljubljana; dilatation D5. Nove Poljane garage. Ljubljana; refitting of the hall of the National Assembly, Ljubljana; demolition work and construction of a maintenance hall, Talum Kidričevo; Aqualand swimming pool complex, Podčetrtek; Maribor Psychiatric Hospital; Kisovec Primary School; arrangement of the southern part of IC Gorenje; demolition and construction work on the new Galvana Gorenje building; Europark Maribor Shopping Centre; Rutar Ljubljana furniture centre; Mercator shopping centres in Slovenj Gradec, Dobja Vas and ©marje pri Jel¹ah; Spar shopping centre Prevalje; Alfa Vojnik car showroom; ©talekar sales and service building Slovenj Gradec; Pfeifer Nazarje workshop and expansion; Krevzel ©ostanj commercial building; and a range of smaller structures in Slovenia. There were no supply problems this year. Production units
were supplied in good time with the required materials and work
tools, and we used the placement of our products as a form of
payment. All activities operated in line with reducing cost
risks (most favourable price, additional rebates, fco supplies).
For larger projects, long-term cooperation contracts were signed
with suppliers, with the emphasis on fixed prices, longer
payment intervals and a request for compensation as a form of
payment. As a result of the quality supply chain for our
production, no delays occurred. FOREIGN MARKETS Vegrad generated gross turnover of DEM 16.672,500 through investment works in other countries and exports of goods. Investment works were carried out in Russia, Germany and Croatia. Vegrad is engaged in Russia as a subcontractor for employers from Austria, Russia and to a lesser extent Sweden. It employed an average of 29 workers. Gross turnover reached SIT 494,192,699.70 in Moscow (70.71%), Ekaterinburg (21.10%) and St Petersburg (8.19%). Work continued on structures from 1999, such as he Rospechat commercial building, Golutvinski Dvori, the Currency Exchange, the Zarechye Club, St Petersburg Brewery, Ekaterinburg White Courts, Kadashevska Moscow, Moscow Synagogue commercial building, etc. Despite fierce competition, we are successfully maintaining our market position in Germany and we are working with various employers. We employed an average of 52 workers. Gross turnover was SIT 463,281,075.30. The Republic of Croatia we built the Buzin Commercial Centre near Zagreb, the Getro Shopping Centre in Rijeka, the Getro Shopping Centre in Osijek and a number of smaller buildings around Zagreb and Rijeka. in the Croatian market, we perform engineering work and acquisition in the purchase of attractive locations (land) for well-known Slovenian and foreign investors. |
